“Burn-Out, Bowl-Off” A Success For Speedway Children’s Charities
The first annual “Burn-Out, Bowl-Off” at the South Point Hotel & Casino during last week’s NCTS weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway raised more than $4,000 for Speedway Children’s Charities. More than 150 NCTS drivers, crew members and officials participated in the charity bowling tournament.
“I think the drivers and the crews really enjoyed it,” Gaughan said. “It was something that we wanted to do for the crew members and officials to thank them for all their hard work all year. Because everyone had so much fun and we were able to raise a lot of money for a good cause, I think that we are going to do this every year.
“Red Horse Racing is going to have to bring that trophy back to Las Vegas and let us have a chance at it again because they beat us by eight pins. We have to bring the South Point Burn-Out, Bowl Off trophy back to Las Vegas where it belongs.”
