Gaughan Thrilled With Kentucky Truck, Excited For Race
Brendan Gaughan took to the track at Kentucky Speedway on Friday afternoon for two practices in advance of the Built Ford Tough 225 on Saturday afternoon.
After the second practice session, Gaughan told his crew - "don't change a thing."
"This is one of the best pieces I have driven in five years," Gaughan said after final practice. "It is really smooth."
Gaughan, who is behind the wheel of the same No. 77 truck that finish third at Michigan Speedway earlier this year, was third in first practice early on Friday afternoon. He was 10th at the end of second practice, but he was running some of the quickest times of any driver on old tires.
Gaughan has a best finish of third-place at Kentucky Speedway last summer. He hopes to improve on that tomorrow. Gaughan will qualify his No. 77 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Silverado tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET. The green flag waves for the Built Ford Tough 225 at 8 p.m. ET on SPEED.
