AVONDALE, Ariz. - Nextel Cup rookie Brendan Gaughan said Friday he has no idea where he stands with his Penske-Jasper Racing team in regards to the 2005 season.

Gaughan said that if he doesn't return to the No. 77 Dodges next season, he has other opportunities available, including returning to the Truck series with a team his family owns and partnering with its current driver, Steve Park; and other Cup rides.

Haas CNC Racing has spoken to Gaughan about driving its No. 0 Chevrolets next season, Gaughan said, but no decision has been made.

Gaughan, who has driven for Dodge virtually his entire racing career, said there would be no conflicts driving Haas' Chevrolets if that were the only Cup opportunity he was offered.
