"We were a lot better than that. Something happened. The racecar was awesome, and we had a shot for the pole. That's a bummer. Every time we have something good we end up blowing it. We've got some sort of carburetor problem or something. We'd get to the end of the straightaways and it'd lean out. I'd look at the fuel pressure gauge and it was down to four. Something got caught in the carburetor and starved the engine for fuel. The Penske/Jasper Dodge horsepower is usually pretty good. We'll get it fixed up for Happy Hour tomorrow."
