After fielding a call for driving assistance late Thursday evening Brendan Gaughan drove a class 1 “buggy” to an in class victory in today’s Vegas to Reno desert race.

Thursday evening Gaughan took a call from Dr. Feldkamp to drive his entry during the second half of the Vegas to Reno desert classic. Gaughan, always ready for a challenge, grabbed his Jasper Engines firesuit and was soon on the road with his co-driver for the event, Bill “Batman” Holbrook. At the finish the pair drove their ride to a best in class victory and third overall.

The Gaughan family and Dr. Feldkamp have a years old relationship from their shared desert racing days, a period when Feldkamp scored eight or nine victories in the two seat buggy class in the famed Baja races.
