Penske Racing South will be consolidating all its racing operations next winter.
Team co-owners Roger Penske, Don Miller and Rusty Wallace have bought the 110-acre campus that formerly housed the Mitsubishi Compressor Manufacturing Company in Mooresville, N.C., and have already begun renovating it for the race teams of Wallace, Ryan Newman and Brendan Gaughan.
The site has more than 400,000 square feet.
Team officials said the new complex will include a 300-foot “fan walk” that will allow race fans to observe the preparations of all three teams.
Miller said the team, which currently operates out of two separate shops in Mooresville, hopes to begin moving into the new complex in December.
