Loudon, NH (July 9, 2004) - Brendan Gaughan will start the Siemens 300 from the 29th position at New Hampshire International Speedway.
Gaughan was satisfied with the car's handling following his run, but he hopes to have it a little tighter for Sunday's race.
"The Kodak Easy Share Dodge feels good right now," Gaughan said. "It is a little loose right now, but it responded to the changes made after practice."
Gaughan has limited experience at the "Magic Mile". While this is his first race with the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series at the northern most track on the circuit, he has two fifth-place finishes at the facility in NASCAR's Truck Series.
After brief discussions with his crew chief and team engineer, Gaughan said, "The only thing that can help me right now is more seat time. Providing the rain holds off until tomorrow, I will get that necessary seat time."
Gaughan's teammates, Ryan Newman and Rusty Wallace, will start their Penske-Jasper powered Dodges from the pole position and eighth, respectively.
